Shannon Curtis is the award-winning, Amazon AU and Sydney Morning Herald best-selling Australian author who has written 16 books and counting in both the traditional and digital publishing spheres. She’s won the prestigious RUBY (Romantic Book of the Year – Romantic Suspense) award, the premier award for romance fiction in Australia, and has been nominated for several (and won some) Australian Romance Readers Association awards, including Favourite Romantic Suspense and Favourite Paranormal Romance, and the specialised PRISM award recognising excellence in science fiction/fantasy romance from the FF&P Chapter of Romance Writers of America. 

Shannon has been published by Carina Press (digital subsidiary of Harlequin Books), Harlequin USA and Harlequin Australia, Momentum (digital subsidiary of Pan Macmillan Australia) and writes romantic suspense, and paranormal romance. She’s written books for The Bold & The Beautiful franchise and was a founding member of the first romance publishing co-operative in Australia.

In 2014, Shannon worked as the office administrator for the Romance Writers of Australia, an organisation she has been involved with for over fifteen years, and in 2019 she started teaching at the Sydney Community College, where she presents courses on writing romance, mysteries and suspenses, plotting novels and creative writing in general. Shannon has appeared on several panels at conferences and festivals, presented workshops and talks, and organised writing conferences and events.

Shannon’s very first job was as a clerk, then betting agent within the TAB, and worked in logistics for fifteen years, from customer service through to handling dangerous goods, before shifting to office administration in the real estate, IT, fashion, and engineering industries, so her books featuring those elements have authentic characters and settings.
